Accommodations
The setting for the Russell Lockwood Leadership School is chosen with care. Finding a facility that supports our ability to gather in trust and covenant, and experience the intimacy, creativity, and excitement that is the core of the RLLS mission is essential. In 2009 Russell Lockwood Leadership School is pleased to return to the hospitality of Saint Malo Retreat Center in Allenspark, Colorado. The Retreat Center sits on 160 acres at the base of Mount Meeker just 12 miles from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
The original facility, built in 1934, included a lodge and, across a small lake, the still gorgeous Chapel on the Rock. In 1987 the lodge was renovated into a well equipped conference center with simple comfortable hotel rooms, a spacious cafeteria, a great room with stunning views, an excellent conference room, and additional meeting rooms. While Saint Malo is a Catholic retreat center (in 1993, Pope John Paul II stayed there during his World Youth Day visit to Denver) it welcomes all religious denominations.
Because others will be partaking of Saint Malo’s own programs during the week of our Leadership School, we are not able to accommodate requests for single room occupancy. Please contact the RLLS Dean or Registrar for any specific needs or questions you may have. The conference center and hotel wing are completely accessible. The topography prevents cell phone reception, but wireless connectivity is fully available and there are two pay phones (phone cards are available in the gift shop).
In 2010, we will gather at the Sunrise Ranch in Loveland, CO.
